4 Years of Simple Life!

• Launched September 2016

Woodbine Road was our very first development, featuring 50 family homes from 2 – 4 bedrooms in Liverpool.

Of those who moved in with us during our launch year, we have more than 20 households still proud to be Simple Life residents! It’s so great to see so many people finding their forever homes with us, and taking pride in their properties. Giving customers the security to stay for as long as they like is at the heart of who we are, showing renting as a long-term lifestyle choice. And our long-standing residents are testament to that!

• Growth

From small beginnings, big things grow. We now have over 2,200 properties built throughout the UK, with thousands of residents enjoying their homes. With a pipeline of over 3,000 currently in build or planning, we’re not slowing down any time soon!

• Location, Location, Location

Our first developments were located in Merseyside, Greater Manchester and Sheffield. We are now proud to bring high quality rental properties to 15 regions and counties! And we are always looking to branch into new areas, with plenty in mind for further expansion…

• Events

We knew that at the heart of every Simple Life development had to be its community. It was important to us to give people the opportunity to get to know their neighbours, as putting down roots is as much about loving who you live next to as well as loving the home you’re in!

We started out with Simple Life staff dressing up as the Easter Bunny… and now host 4 fantastic events each year. To make sure things run smoothly, we work with a fantastic Event Management company to help us get to all our completed developments, and see hundreds of residents each season indulge in some tasty treats and get out and about.

Despite 2020’s complications, we’ve still been able to host some brilliant events with plenty still to come. Our Easter Egg Hunt went virtual, with over 130 residents taking part in our online game for the chance to win some exclusive Simple Life chocolate from Love Cocoa.

Our Ice Cream dash was our best attended to date, with everyone complying with the new distancing rules, and the weather truly working in our favour for a proper taste of summer! We’re so grateful for everyone who’s joined us at our events over the years, and even more so as we’ve tackled logistics to make sure we can keep everyone safe and entertained.

• Competitions

Who doesn’t love a bit of friendly competition? Over the past 4 years we’ve seen the creativity and engagement of our residents soar – from spooky baked goodies, to extravagant Christmas trees, our Simple Life competitions are always popular and are getting harder to judge each year…

In 2019, we kicked things up a notch and introduced alongside our classic Christmas Tree competition the Best Dressed Development contest, challenging our residents to decorate their homes and crown their neighbourhood the most festive! Seeing streets come together to win the prize of £100 cashback for every household was fantastic, and we look forward to seeing more excellent decorations this year.

• Staying Connected

We can’t escape the fact that we’re now in a digital world, and that connection online is just as important – even more so in 2020 when so many of us were unable to leave our homes.

Our social channels continue to provide a great hub for people to connect, and we now have over 50 Instagram accounts set up by residents to show off their homes! Ideal if you’re after some inspiration to make your home even more you.

We also launched our resident portal in 2020, My Simple Life, which will soon become the go-to place for Simple Life residents to find out everything they need to know about their properties, as well as utilise the forums to set up events.

• Giving Back

At Simple Life, we’re conscious that our new developments have an impact on the existing communities we build in – bringing new people to the area, enhancing infrastructure, and providing jobs. Alongside everything we do for our residents, we have a growing programme of charity and sponsorship work, supporting local organisations and schools to help them continue their fantastic work.

During the Covid-19 Crisis, that support has been needed more than ever, and we pledged a further £100,000 to be split between 4 brilliant causes, as voted for by our Simple Life residents. You can find out more about how those donations have already made a difference here.

• It’s all about YOU

Ultimately, Simple Life is nothing without its residents. From those very first move-ins 4 years ago, to our growing online community, our customers are at the heart of what we do.
