What is the Simple Life Adventure Challenge?
The Simple Life Homes Adventure Challenge is a team event created just for our residents. It’s all about getting outdoors, meeting neighbours and having fun together, whether you’re a keen competitor or just up for a good day out.

What happened at the 2026 Adventure Challenge?
On Sunday 20 September 2026, we invited residents from across Greater Manchester to Unsworth Cricket Club for this year’s Adventure Challenge, and everyone who came along had a fantastic time. Invitations went out to all eight of our Greater Manchester developments: The Gateway, Albion Place, Hartshead View, Irwell View, Mellands Park, Mill Vale, Millbank Lock and The Fairways. On the day, teams followed a marked trail around the grounds, stopping at numbered stations along the way. Each station had a different challenge, from problem-solving puzzles to tests of skill and teamwork. Teams collected points at every stop, but it wasn’t about finishing first. Every competitor was in with a chance of winning the top prize of a holiday voucher.

What did residents think?
It was fantastic to see families, friends and neighbours teaming up and cheering each other on. Here’s what our residents thought of the day:

“We had a great time at the event, there was a wide range of challenges and the riddles really had us thinking! Once we solved them gave such a sense of achievement, being able to experience this with my niece and against my brother/nephew really brought out the competitiveness! Why does Simple Life Homes run residents events?
At Simple Life Homes, we believe home is about more than four walls. Events like the Adventure Challenge give residents the chance to connect with their neighbours and enjoy something a little different close to home. Yes, most events need you to register in advance so we can plan for numbers. Booking details, usually an Eventbrite link, are included in the event invitation.
