Simple Life Sounds: Manchester’s Newest Live Music Night, Curated By One Of Our Own Residents

A line-up built by the community

What made the night different wasn’t just who played — it was who picked them. The entire line-up was curated by Rumbi, a Simple Life resident with a genuine ear for Manchester’s music scene. Rather than bringing in an external promoter, we handed the creative reins to someone who actually lives in the community the night was for — and the result was a bill that felt considered, warm, and genuinely local.

A full room and a great atmosphere

Residents and neighbours from across the city packed into Night & Day for a night that, by all accounts, delivered. The venue’s setup suited the crowd perfectly, and the energy in the room stayed high from the first act to the last.

More than a night out

For the residents and neighbours who came, the night was about more than the music. One attendee told us they loved having live music right on their doorstep — a proper night out without needing to leave the neighbourhood. Another said the gentle brand presence around the event was enough to make them curious, and went on to look up Simple Life online to see what developments existed near them in Manchester.
