Simple Life is a big believer in supporting the local communities in which it operates. As part of the company’s corporate social responsibilities ambitions for 2018, Simple Life is donating up to £50,000 to local charities and to schools that are situated near to its PRS schemes.
When Simple Life identifies its new development sites, close proximity to good schools is a core requirement. The company has worked closely with a number of schools in the past and this year, the company will continue to do so by spreading donations across five schools in Merseyside, Sheffield, Greater Manchester, West Midlands and Salford.
Graham Barnet, CEO at Simple Life, commented: “We are tremendously excited about working with a number of schools close to some of the new homes we have developed, or are in the process of developing. We strongly believe that good homes, together with good schools, can help communities to thrive, and we want to play our part in fostering an environment in which families can flourish.
“We will be looking to work closely with schools to identify how our contribution can best benefit each of them individually, whether for books, educational materials, PE equipment or school trips. We can’t wait to get this initiative underway!”
Local communities are very important to Simple Life, so it will also be supporting a number of charities in the region, including the Park Palace Ponies Charity in Merseyside, an organisation that offers riding lessons for underprivileged children in the surrounding areas, and Salford’s Drop-in Centre, ‘Loaves and Fishes’, for the homeless.
A priority for Simple Life for the latter half of 2018 is also determining how the team can assist with local employment opportunities across its locations, whether that be through graduate opportunities, apprenticeships or work experience.
“We have been working within local communities for many years”, Graham continued, “so it is always great to be able to give something back and help wherever we can. We look forward to a happy and prosperous new year for all of our colleagues, friends and customers.”
