Simple Life has been racking them up this awards season, taking another two away from this years' Property Week RESI Awards - for the second year in a row!
Simple Life was awarded Landlord of the Year (private and social), which is no mean feat considering the volume of competition entering the single family housing build to rent market space. The entry recognised the company’s journey, from being the originator and pioneer provider of UK Build to Rent Single Family Housing, to setting up the private rental brand, Simple Life in 2016, to now being the biggest player by quite some distance.
The entry also focused on the customer engagement that is at the heart of Simple Life’s ethos. This includes the creation of the fully bespoke My Simple Life app launched in summer 2021, the growing partnerships and support for local charity groups that are most important to residents, as well as our latest project with the Outward Bound Trust to help young people gain skills for the future.
Not to be forgotten are the environmental efforts Simple Life continues to make, for the benefit of residents, the wider community, and the planet. From clothes banks to encourage reduced waste on apartment blocks, to ensuring all properties have an EPC rating of C or better (with 84% currently standing at A or B!), these measures all go towards separating us in the market.
Our second win of the night was for PRS Deal of the Year, for our Simple Life London development, Beam Park, with Countryside Properties. Countryside partnered with Simple Life Homes and Be First (affordable rental provider), to deliver a total of 677 PRS homes, alongside thousands of homes for open market sale. Critical to the delivery of these homes is the shared ambition for an inclusive neighbourhood with a variety of homes for people to choose from.
With many wins already this year and other shortlisted entries announced, Simple Life is sweeping up at this season’s awards!
