Having recognised a gap in the outer zones of the London rental market, Simple Life London opened applications to its first scheme in the capital last month. Blazing the trail in Build to Rent (BTR) over the past four years, Simple Life can offer a better solution for those looking to rent a home in areas of the city that have an undersupply of high quality, long-term BTR options, paired with a professional service.
Simple Life London is an extension of the established Simple Life brand, which has over 3,000 rental homes across the country, to become one of the leaders in BTR in the UK and now plans to spend over £1bn on 3,000 new homes for rent from zone 3 outwards of Greater London over the next five years.
Simple Life London isn’t wasting any time, launching its first development Fresh Wharf in Barking in February, which caused a real stir amongst renters in its first week with over 50 keen renters getting in touch with the team to arrange virtual viewings. Alongside this, a number of lettings have already been agreed, with customers snapping up the zero-deposit option. A second London scheme, Beam Park in Rainham, which Simple Life London believes will be equally as popular is due to launch in March/April.
Simple Life London’s residential investment and lettings director, Rob Sumner, explained: “We’ve got a strong track record across the country for providing homes that people want to rent and live in for the long-term and we’ve set the standard high.
“The bottom line is that renting shouldn’t mean compromise. Our homes in London come ready to move in to. We furnish them to a high standard and all the kitchen appliances are fitted, so all you need to bring is your bits and pieces and residents also benefit from our initiatives to make their lives easy, such as having a 24/7 customer service number and exclusive discounts from local shops and amenities. Our aim is to provide our customers with beautiful, well managed homes within easy reach of whatever customers may need for work and play, leaving them free to make the choice of where and how to spend their time and money.
“We’re not just talking about bricks and mortar though, we’re really proud of the fact that our customers across the UK have become real communities that take pride in their homes and we give as much back to them as possible. We run community events that bring people together, like wood fired pizza nights and Easter Egg hunts for our younger residents. We invest in the local community and have supported many local schools, helping them to achieve what would otherwise be outside of their funding capabilities. Our main aim, however, is to make the rental experience enjoyable and easy with our customer’s needs at the front and centre of all we do, and this doesn’t just mean people, it means their furry friends as well; at no time has the value of our pets been more obvious. With a new resident app launching in the summer our customers’ lives are set to become even more simple.”
Fresh Wharf and Beam Park are set to be popular and Simple Life London is looking forward to handing over their keys as early as April 2021.
