Love in Every Layer – Simple Life Valentines Bake
On 13th February, love was in the air (and in the oven!) as the Simple Life residents gathered at Big Bakes Manchester for a delightful Valentine’s baking event. With 24 baking stations ready for action, families, couples, and friends rolled up their sleeves, tied on aprons and dove into the delightful world of baking..
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and the sweet scent of freshly baked treats as participants rushed to get their creations into the oven. From elegant vintage designs to bold masterpieces to be judged at the end, every team hoping to be crowned Best Bake.
Our events team went around doing their best British Bake off presenter impressions and asked our attendees how it was all going “We love it! It’s so fun to get out and do something different!”
When asked what their favourite ingredient of Simple Life was, one couple simply said “it’s so lovely to do simple things together”
Although there was nothing simple about these bakes, When asked who was feeling confident about bringing home the winning spoon, it was fighting talk from some and nervous laughter from others, as one of our attendees joked “the relationship’s on the line” as the Simple Life bakers felt the competitvive pressure on their special date night.
The competition heated up as the final creations were proudly displayed, each one more impressive than the last.
It was clear — at this Simple Life bake-off, the competition was fierce, the creativity was strong, and the memories made were even sweeter than the bakes themselves.
