Best Ham Ladies Football Club

Supporting clubs and activities pertinent to our Simple Life residents and which contribute to accessibility, inclusion, and participation in the communities in which we operate is key to our social impact programme. It is always great to hear from those involved of the impact this support has on people – our key focus. Support extends to clubs of all sizes and interests, and we have been delighted to support Best Ham Ladies over the past year as they enjoyed building their team. The following feedback from the club illustrate, perfectly, the results meaningful and carefully directed support can have. As a business we strive to collaborate and engage widely, offering support where and when we can. It truly is about people working together and actively engaging to support one another as a team, without understanding the full extent of this teamwork on overall wellbeing. Keep enjoying ladies!

This team of ladies didn’t know everyone at first, there were a couple of friends within the group who reached out to their respective networks for additional players, and they now have a dedicated team of players who enjoy their Tuesday night football.  The team all work in diverse careers from teachers to bus drivers, all who love their jobs but more importantly enjoy the camaraderie of playing as a team and coming together as one.  It’s not all about the results, it’s about having that time where any worries can be forgotten for 40 minutes to enjoy the game, laughing and joking with each other and having an additional circle of friends outside everyday life.  Playing as a team brings everyone together, no matter what your home or work worries or struggles are, and gives each other someone to laugh with, someone to talk to, someone to listen and a shoulder to cry on.  Having a team as close knit as these ladies helps massively with everyone’s wellbeing where everyone reaches out to each other; the positive vibe this team has is amazing!
