Do you remember? Having pizza in September and chasing the clouds away…

Now in our fourth year of bringing free pizza to our residents over the course of a few weeks in Autumn; our friends at the Wood Fired Pizza Company returned to Simple Life neighbourhoods recently to fire up their ovens and deliver a fantastic (not to mention delicious) event.

We visited 13 developments all with apartment carparks to provide the space needed to prepare fresh pizza on site:

Autumn Events that couldn’t be topped!

  • Prescot Park, Prescot
  • Canalside, Wigan
  • Earle Street, Newton-le-Willows
  • Havenswood, Eccles
  • Hollystone Bank, Runcorn
  • Coral Mill, Rochdale
  • Reynolds Place, Worsley
  • Brookside Grange, Rochdale
  • Holyoake Road, Walkden
  • Park Grange House, Sheffield
  • Coppenhall Place, Crewe
  • Empyrean, Salford
  • Stonefield Edge, Wolverhampton

For the first time, we ran the majority of these events on Sundays to catch most of our residents at home and treat them to one last indulgence to set them up for the week ahead.

This move appeared to be a hit, as we were able to lure large queues of residents to the gazebos with the smell of fresh dough! We’ll keep this in mind for next time…

We were also delighted to bring back our Empyrean event this year, bigger and better than before. Our stunning stretch tents were re-installed in the garden area for residents to enjoy an afternoon of fun not far from their apartment doors.

In addition to the Wood Fired Pizza and drinks available, we had some superb entertainment lined up from a brilliant local band The DeeVines, to garden games and some eye-catching Mirror Men with pop-locking dance moves to get you in the party mood.

Our Simple Life ice cream van even made an appearance to offer up something sweet!

We welcomed residents to the garden throughout the afternoon, and was lovely to see so many soaking up the atmosphere (and a bit of Manchester sun) underneath the canopy.

As always, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that joined in our Autumn events this year; we aim to bring our communities together and hope to spread a little joy to your neighbourhoods.

If you couldn’t make it this time, we hope to see you next year; in the meantime you can get a feel for these fun-filled events by taking a look at the video here.
